He holds a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Law at Bilgi University in Turkey, a Master's degree from Marmara University, and a PhD from Istanbul University. Dr. MehmetAkif Can wrote his master's thesis on credit cards from the perspective of Islamic law. He also wrote a detailed dissertation on Sukuk (Islamic financial certificates) at the Faculty of Sharia at Istanbul University. Among the qualifications that distinguish Dr. MehmetAkif Can is his fluency in both Arabic and English at an advanced level.

He has provided numerous legal consultations to a large number of foreign clients since the founding of MAC & PARTNERS Law and Legal Consultancy. He is also the founder and general manager of the Ustad Nur al-Din Library, which consists of approximately 17,000 volumes, most of them in Arabic. In addition, Dr. MehmetAkif Can has extensive experience in the fields of investment and trade, both domestic and international, as well as in corporate management, having served as the CEO of Aquad Investment and Real Estate Consultancy in Istanbul

Through his previous work as a lawyer at Faik Işık Law and Legal Consultancy and GSI Meridian Law and Legal Consultancy, he provided legal consultations for many significant projects in various fields, including construction and energy projects. He also served as a legal advisor to the Consulate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for three years, during which he became closely acquainted with Arab culture. He is also the founder of the İlahiyat Araştırmaları Derneği (Theology Research Association) and delivered lectures for five years in the field of Islamic studies. He remains a board member of this association. Dr. MehmetAkif Can has traveled to many Arab countries and participated in lectures by Professor Ali Gomaa in Cairo, as well as lectures by Professor Dr. Wahbah al-Zuhayli and Professor Dr. Said Ramadan al-Buti in Damascus.
